Sun Protected Glass

In office buildings, shops, houses etc. the temperature can periodically rise to the inacceptable and thus the internal climate becomes unpleasant. There is a number of heat sources in all rooms permanently giving off heat: lamps, copiers, data terminals, people etc. Most of the year the temperature is normal, but in sun intensive periods the limit is exceeded and surplus heat generated.

What solutions can prevent this generation of surplus heat? You could use e.g. curtains, Venetian blinds and sun blinds, but the use of these has the disadvantage that the indoor light is becoming unsatisfactory, that the shielding is limited, that reflections are casted in the room and that sun blinds and other outdoor shielding are dominating the front of the building.

You can also use air-conditioning for ventilation and cooling, but it can easily give you a bad internal climate with draught etc. The best method to stem the unpleasant internal climate is therefore the use of sun protecting glass.

Roe Window Systems has several different types of sun protecting glass in its product range to choose from. What type is the best depends on the individual requirements in each building project.
